180 Sudbury Street Drawings

Here is the official drawings as provided by Sarah Phipps, Senior Planner – City Planning Department of the 180 Sudbury Street Drawings which clearly outline the space intended for Artist workshops and Indoor Amenity Space.

The pencil notations show what the space is currently being used for.

Amenity Space (based on the section 37 agreement) was intended to include the following:

  • Community Space (Ground Floor)
  • Laundry Room and Laundry Lounge (Ground Floor)
  • Lobby (Ground Floor)
  • Multi-purpose room (Ground Floor)
  • Entrance/Lobby (Ground Floor)

Artist Workshop Space:

  • Lower Art Room (Ground Floor – At Grade)
  • Upper Art Room (Upper Mezzanine – Accessible only by stairs)

Art Room – Lower Level – Currently known at the Gabriella Room
Community Space – Currently known as the Carmena Room
Both are currently under a commercial lease, held by The Centre for Mindfulness Studies, these spaces are available for rent, through them,  for $25 – $30 an hour.

Upper Art Room – Currently under commercial lease by the organisation, Sketch
In August of 2013 Live/Work Artists received an offer from St. Clares to lease the space “at cost”, an offer that was roundly rejected as it did not meet the requirements of the Section 37 Agreement to see the details of this offer click here.
